first, finished my 3d paper model of a take-out box for my illustration class. i really wanted to make this huge, but since the largest printer on campus is 42" i had to settle for a box that is only about 11" tall (and still cost $32 to print).
pretty pleased with the way it turned out. also added a bit to the illustration (man jumping off pagoda) - the story of his jump continues on the other sides of the box.
second, finished up the illustrations for my term project in johns class. but after getting some feedback in class on friday, i am thinking of a different way to display the search terms that will in some way more clearly identify (and possibly categorize) the type of people that would make these searches. still brainstorming on this one.

third, i was informed that my design for the redesign lawrence competition was chosen. last i heard the install will happen sometime at the end of this week or over the weekend. the focus was sustainability, and the design will be made of cut vinyl and paint.

lastly, did some brainstorming over the weekend about the show promotion. for some reason i am still really drawn to the suggestive title theme we hit on in class last week. not just because its hilaroius, but i feel that a little sexual innuendo will help draw people in during finals week even more. here is one idea i sketched up.

in other news, working to finish up our box project hopefully by this week (maybe monday). well see how it all comes together.
thats all for now.
