working on a self portrait project in my 394 class. thinking about using this sort of style for my illustration - melding a hand drawn sketch look into a more rendered look. kinda like this, but a lot more rough looking..

keeping it interesting

in my attempt to make my art 233 experience interesting, here is a sample of what i have been working on most recently.

we were asked to draw a natural object multiple times and, eventually, make a design for a product/textile from that object. since i possess no drawing skill whatsoever, i chose to make this leaf pattern wallpaper.

some sketches for a class blog site i did.

these are just rough outlines, but each person would have a unique icon (profile picture, body outline, etc.) that would link to their blog, either to be displayed in a pop-up type window onclick, or even a new page. but the main thing i wanted to focus on was a clean looking page (similar to the maybewecan layout), with simplistic figures/shapes for our individual icons.
